The North Face
2017 Progress Report
Committed to provide $500,000 in Explore Fund grants to nonprofit organizations in 2016 to connect youth and communities of all backgrounds to the outdoors in meaningful ways. The North Face Explore Fund grants provide access for youth, including those in underserved communities and those with disabilities, to participate in outdoor activities such as skiing, camping, hiking and climbing.
“In 2016, The North Face awarded 45 nonprofits with grants totaling $500,000. These organizations provided meaningful outdoor experiences and environmental stewardship opportunities for underserved youth, veterans, people with disabilities, and others who sought first experiences in the outdoors. The grantees completed their projects by the summer of 2017 and reported serving more than 31,000 youth during the 2016 grant year.”
