Partnership for a Healthier America, Inc. (“PHA”, “we,” “our,” or “us”) values the protection of individual privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of users of its websites, applications, and other online services. This Privacy Policy describes the ways in which PHA collects, uses, and discloses information about you through ahealthieramerica.org and all other PHA websites, applications, and other online services that link to this policy (the “Online Services”). What information do we collect?

Information You Provide – We, our service providers, and/or organizations partnering with PHA collect any information that you provide when you use the Online Services, including when you create an account; enter a contest, sweepstakes, or promotion; participate in our bulletin boards or forums; register for events; sign up to receive our electronic newsletters; or otherwise contact us with a question, comment, or request.

Web logs and other forums

The Online Services may offer web logs, web postings, bulletin boards, chat rooms, newsgroups, or other forums which permit users to interact online. Any information you transmit online in such forums will be made public and PHA cannot control nor is it responsible for the use any third party may make of such information.

How is your information secured?

We strive to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to safeguard the information collected by the Online Services. However, no information system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to the Online Services over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.

Your choices

If you do not want the Online Service to collect information through the use of cookies, you can set your web browser to reject cookies from the Online Services. Children’s information

PHA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children learn healthier habits and ending childhood obesity in America. Certain PHA programs may require that children under the age of 13 provide personal information to us online in order to facilitate participation in such programs. We collect, use, and disclose such information only as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

The parent or legal guardian of a child under the age of 13 may review, request that we correct or delete, or refuse to permit us to further collect or use personal information PHA collects from their child. The parent or legal guardian may do so by contacting us using the contact information below.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a new Privacy Policy on this page. If we make any revisions that materially change the ways in which we use or disclose the information previously collected from you through the Online Services, we will give you the opportunity to consent to such changes before applying them to that information.
