Partner Statement

“Grand Valley State University is committed to meet 23 guidelines—developed by Partnership for a Healthier America, in collaboration with some of the nation’s leading nutrition, physical activity and campus wellness experts—will support initiatives to improve nutrition, physical activity, and programming on campus. The PHA Healthy Campus Initiative enables GVSU to work from a national platform to support wellness for students, faculty, staff and community members. Since signing on to the Healthy Campus Initiative in May 2016, the GVSU Wellness Task Force secured funding from the Provost’s office to conduct its second National College Health Assessment student survey at GVSU in 2018. The university also earned silver status for the national Exercise is Medicine® campaign at the ACSM Annual Meeting in Boston, MA. Grand Valley State University will continue to dedicate resources and energize efforts in order to complete the PHA guidelines by April 2019.”
