Partner Statement

“George Mason University is delighted to be part of the Partnership for Healthier America’s Healthier Campus Initiative. Mason has long embraced a commitment to health and wellness with opportunities such as biking support, healthy dining options, and robust recreation programs. We are excited to see the progress we are making in expanding healthier dining options for faculty, staff, and students with more wellness meals, reduced fried foods, and a healthier catering menu. It’s also wonderful to see how the PHA goals have expanded and strengthened the collaboration within our campus community. A new walking/running trail is in development and we continue to document and enhance our offerings in the area of physical activity and movement. We are working hard to complete the remainder of our goals and will be a stronger university for participating in the Healthier Campus Initiative.”
