Committed to improving healthier food access in conveniences stores by ensuring that at least 75 percent of all the products in its end-cap displays are healthier, check-out displays include at least 10 healthier products and to promote healthier options in the stores that it services.
“ESSTAR is proudly working on its endcap product portfolio and tracking toward the ultimate goal of including 75% of products that meet PHA criteria. Our goal is to increase our PHA-approved portfolio for our endcaps by year end 2017. Our healthy checkout section will begin rollout with Twice Daily stores in April 2017. Pump advertising will begin in April/May with six 15-second tv advertisements. We are also working with retailers on in-store promotions and signage to increase awareness of healthier options in stores.”
