University of Colorado at Boulder Health and Wellness Services offers a range of services on campus to support students' health and well-being including recreation, medical care, counseling, advocacy, peer wellness coaching, health promotion and an annual Health and Wellness Summit. Health Promotion collaborates with student groups and campus departments in providing programs and services on the eight dimensions of wellness that positively influence student health.

Implement a mandatory health and wellness education online module to be completed by all incoming first year or transfer students, upon registering with the college or university.Progress To Date
University of Colorado requires each incoming new student (freshman and transfers) to complete the online CheckUp & Choices WellCheck module before starting school. WellCheck addresses physical, emotional and social well-being and encourages students to set goals, reflect on their values and identify opportunities to translate them to their student experience.

University of Colorado at Boulder offers at least one wellness meal at breakfast, lunch and dinner at all dining venues. The wellness meal of the day is written daily on a menu boards inside the dining halls and will be featured on the Nutrislice menu website. Marketing materials are also posted at individual food stations giving suggestions on how to create a healthy meal.

University of Colorado at Boulder is working with the City of Boulder on its Vision Zero initiative to eliminate all severe traffic crashes involving people using all modes of transportation. As part of this initiative, the City of Boulder has implemented a policy that all crosswalks be appropriately labeled to stop or yield for pedestrians. Many crosswalks also have flashing lights that pedestrians can use to signal to drivers that they are crossing.

University of Colorado at Boulder's Outdoor Program offers students well more than 20 options of outdoor recreation trips and courses throughout the year. The variety of offerings include avalanche safety, skiing, snowshoeing, fly fishing, hiking, backpacking, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, scuba and wilderness training.
