    Offer and identify as healthier at point of presentation at least three (3) desserts at both lunch and dinner that have no more than 150 calories as served.

    Progress To Date

    SUNY Cobleskill offers at least two healthier desserts and a variety of fresh fruit choices. Healthier dessert options are labeled with calories at the point of presentation.

    Label food and beverage items offered with calories per serving at the point of presentation OR Designate healthier food and beverage options using a healthy icon at the point of presentation.

    Progress To Date

    SUNY Cobleskill has developed the “Paws-itive Icon” healthy icon system to identify healthier foods and beverages at the point of presentation. The Paws-itive Icon identifies healthier food options with less than 500 calories per entrée, less than 15 grams of fat, less than 5 grams of saturated fat and items with more whole grain, high fiber, vitamins and minerals and less sodium and added sugar.

    Implement a comprehensive, strategic product placement/merchandizing program/policy within dining venues to encourage healthier food consumption.

    Progress To Date

    SUNY Cobleskill has developed a strategic product placement and merchandising program that includes new healthier options in prominent, convenient locations and additional signage identifying healthy choices at the point of purchase, point of presentation and at self-service and multi-option stations.

    SUNY Cobleskill offers a catering menu that features a range of healthier options including at least three types of fruit, three types vegetables, two 100% whole grain products and no more than two fried options.
