Partner Statement
“This has been a year of significant progress for our commitments to promote healthy lifestyle choices as part of our Better Tomorrow 2025 roadmap and our commitment to the Partnership for a Healthier America. We are now offering the Mindful healthy dining program at 96% of the University, Business and Government client sites. We estimate that nearly one million customers have access to the Mindful program each day at these locations.
"In the hospitals we serve, we are implementing a wide range of wellness strategies. These include promoting Mindful options, implementing a healthy check-out program where only healthy snacks are offered within 5 feet of check-out using marketing visuals to promote healthy options, and removing fryers.
"Sodexo was also pleased to win the PHA Move to Improve Challenge in 2017 where 142 members on Sodexo teams walked more than 7,740 miles – because quality of life starts with our employees.
"Over the next year, we will focus on implementing our gold level of the Mindful program, which includes meeting close to 50 standards for creating a dining environment that promotes healthy choices for the university, business, government and hospital clients we serve.
"Sodexo remains committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities where we live, work and serve. With 9,000 sites throughout the U.S we can support healthy lifestyles for children and the many role models who shape their behavior. We believe these changes will also improve performance for clients by improving the health and well-being of employees and their families, enhancing their reputation in the marketplace, and strengthening the communities where they operate.”
