    Cumberland Farms food donation efforts are currently underway in 15 stores in Vermont with plans to add at least 45 donation locations in the coming year. In 2017, 43,408 pounds of food were donated to local food banks and pantries. Of these donations, 1,436 pounds met the Feeding America Foods to Encourage Criteria.

Partner Statement

“We are proud to be part of PHA, and our first year was filled with a tremendous amount of learning. We are very close to meeting all of the required commitments and we are confident that we will have all of them met by the end of this year. We are particularly proud and excited about our progress in food donations via Feeding America. We grew from donating products from 15 stores to about 60 locations this past year. We hope to have a system in place this year that allows us to report our donations in a greater level of detail. In addition, we are working closely with area food banks to expand the number of stores that participate in this program. Finally, we are working hard to launch a “healthy check-out” evaluation pilot and hope to have that finalized in the next few weeks.”
