Partner Statement

“Sodexo was honored to be recognized as PHA’s first Partner of the Year in 2016. With 12,500 client sites throughout the U.S. we can support healthy lifestyles for children and the many role models who shape their behavior. We believe these changes will also improve performance for clients by improving the health and well-being of employees and their families, enhancing their reputation in the marketplace, and strengthening the communities where they operate.

"This year we strengthened our overall commitment to provide and encourage healthy lifestyle choices with our Better Tomorrow 2025 commitments. Our work with the Partnership for a Healthier America supports this goal with initiatives in schools, workplaces, universities, vending environments, and cultural destinations.

"As of 2016 we have exceeded four of these commitments. We brought healthier sides and beverages to children’s meals at cultural destinations across the United States, some serving more than a million visitors per year. We increased access to free breakfast and made healthier choices more visible and appealing with smarter lunchroom tactics. Individuals now have greater options for healthy snacking at thousands of vending machines at our client sites.”
