Partner Statement

“The department of Student Health Center and Wellness Initiatives at Liberty University is committed to assisting students in their acquisition of the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors necessary for them to be self-directed health advocates in the pursuit of intellectual growth and personal development. The University offers programs and services to assist with maintaining good health. Overall health education materials and workshops are provided to all members of the Liberty community throughout the year. Through partnerships with other campus departments, community agencies, student organizations, and peer-mentors, we work to develop and advocate for a campus and community environment that creates, emphasizes and supports healthy choices and positive decision making regarding health and wellness. Liberty University is committed to promoting wellness as a journey rather than an outcome and believes that students’ health choices, as well as the culture of the community around them, involve a dynamic and multifaceted integration of seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, spiritual, social, cultural, environmental, and intellectual. Liberty therefore happily stands alongside Partnership for Healthier America in its pursuit of strengthening its network of public and private stakeholders who are committed to pursuing wellness across the nation.”
