Partner Statement

“At Learning Care Group (LCG), we continue to deliver on our commitment to prioritize nutrition and fitness through Grow Fit, our comprehensive healthy lifestyle initiative. We look forward to reporting on our progress towards the goals established by the Partnership for a Healthier America and Let’s Move! ChildCare regarding physical activity, screen time, food, beverages, and infant feeding next year.

"Developed by a registered dietician nutritionist, LCG’s Grow Fit menu offers over 50 fruits and vegetables, and more than 30 whole grain options. Our multi-cultural offerings now include 33 menu items spanning nine cultures. Schools receive guidance on healthy options for special occasions to ensure celebrations follow the Grow Fit mindset.

"Having previously eliminated fried foods, this past year, we removed juice from the Grow Fit menu, significantly cutting sugar consumption. Our next challenge is to convert the remaining non-whole grain products to whole grain items by next year. We will also remove all grain-based desserts to further reduce sugar and saturated fats.

"LCG continues to support parent decisions regarding infant feeding. The company strictly adheres to screen time limits according to Let’s Move! Child Care guidelines. We will continue leading the way in the industry to help children build healthy habits for a healthy future.”
