Partner Statement

“CNM is proud to announce our progress towards the following goals for our commitment with Partnerships for a Healthier America. a. The finalization of a 1.8 mile wellness path for students, faculty, staff and the community to utilize. The path has 5 nodules which include outside workout stations, ergonomic seats, musical stations, landscape rock with motivational statements and plantings designed to ease the mind. b. Water hydration stations at all CNM campuses through which students can bring their own water bottles to receive filtered water. This has cut down on the purchase of plastic bottled water. c. Signage for all pedestrian crossings, free bus passes to students and staff to reduce the carbon footprint of driving vehicles to campuses and bike lanes to the Main Campus. Students can ride their bikes from home to a city bus stop, load it on the bus and use their free bus pass to ride to any CNM campus. The Wellness Path is the gem of CNM’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle and will provide all users and opportunity to enjoy it year round. We look forward to submitting these guidelines for verification next year.”
