NCA is bringing together the leading chocolate and candy companies, including Mars Chocolate North America, Ferrara Candy Company, Ferrero, Lindt, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and Russell Stover Chocolates, to commit to voluntarily printing calorie information on the front of products and to making at least half of their single-serving products 200 calories or less.

“America’s leading chocolate and candy companies are bringing consumers more information and more options in smaller pack sizes, as well as educational tools to help them make informed choices. By 2022, as part of an effort that we call the Always A Treat Initiative, 90% of the participating companies’ best-selling treats will have calorie information right on the front of the pack. More significantly, half of the portfolio of individually-wrapped products will soon be 200 calories or less per pack. It’s all part of our industry commitment to help consumers manage their sugar intake and to be good partners to our retail customers, helping them meet consumers where they want to be met.”
