Committed to make fresh produce available to each one of the 90,000 locations it serves. The company will also launch twelve healthier new private label products and clearly identify all healthier products offered, as well as broker pricing deals, in an effort to incentivize its customers to make the healthy choice when stocking their stores.

      McLane has met their commitment by creating a section of their Virtual Trade Show ordering system where products meeting PHA Food and Beverage Criteria are clearly marked and available for ordering. Twenty-five products are available in the PHA Virtual Trade Show.

      McLane has met their commitment by offering seven products which meet PHA Healthier Food and Beverage Criteria on its Virtual Trade Show for ten months in 2018. Products available on the PHA Deals Virtual Trade Show are offered at a discount of 70% or more off the regular McLane case cost.

      Offer one or more Better For You product bundles each quarter (e.g. baseball game bundle) that includes only products that meet the PHA Healthier Food and Beverage Product Criteria for duration of commitment.

      McLane continues to meet its commitment by providing a "Better For You" product bundle deal consisting of six healthier Hometown Market private label products, Salted Almonds, Salted Cashews, Raw Almonds, Very Cherry Vibe, Honey Roasted Cashews and Country Club Mix which all meet PHA Food and Beverage Product Criteria. The Better For You product bundle is offered for a discount of more than 75% off the total individual unit cost.

"McLane’s commitment to PHA includes a wide range of supply chain solutions that make it easier for stores to stock products that meet PHA’s Healthier Food and Beverage Product Criteria. In 2017 alone, McLane distributed 1.325 billion pounds of fruits and vegetables to foodservice and grocery retailers. McLane also extends discounts to customers on PHA-approved products, including better-for-you product bundles every quarter, and creates and distributes planograms featuring these products. McLane’s control label subsidiary, Consumer Value Products (CVP), continues to develop healthier new products that meet PHA’s criteria and offers retailer promotion materials for PHA’s signature programs, FNV (Fruits and Vegetables) and Drink Up, which promotes drinking more water.
