    Offer at least one (1) organized and facilitated fifteen (15) minute activity break (e.g., instant recess) on each school day.

    Progress To Date

    University of Pennsylvania offers a 15-minute activity break daily. Each day at 9:30 am a 15-minute physical activity routine, requiring no equipment or specific location, is posted online on the Healthy Penn Facebook page. Videos are provided within each post to demonstrate proper technique for each exercise.

In 2018, we took the final step of offering a free, daily exercise option for the entire University. This 15-minute daily exercise is available on our Facebook book page (@healthypenn) for all member of the Penn community. This partnership has brought us closer to realizing our vision of a Healthy Penn.”
