Partner Statement

“The Cheyney University community has recommitted ourselves to personal wellness. By leveraging our relationships with Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Thompson Hospitality and Cheyney University Division of Student Affairs and Athletics/Recreation we have improved our food labeling in the dining hall, utilized social media to promote programming and wellness, stressed the importance of self-care with our programming (i.e. yoga, line dancing, walking) and promoted healthy relationships. The primary focus on these objectives has been to assure progress toward the goal of a balanced life which improves personal and academic success. The university has cultivated relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to get our students moving. To that end, we have provided water for all sponsored activities and utilized our university Life Coaches and other positions to promote health and wellness.”
