Committed to make fresh produce available to each one of the 90,000 locations it serves. The company will also launch twelve healthier new private label products and clearly identify all healthier products offered, as well as broker pricing deals, in an effort to incentivize its customers to make the healthy choice when stocking their stores.
McLane was honored to be chosen as a finalist for PHA’s Partner of the Year Award in both 2018 and 2019 and is delighted to share PHA’s initiatives with our teammates, customers and consumers nationwide.
McLane’s commitment to PHA includes a wide range of supply chain solutions that make it easier for stores to stock products that meet PHA’s Healthier Food and Beverage Product Criteria. In 2018 alone, McLane distributed nearly 1.8 billion pounds of fruits and vegetables to foodservice and grocery retailers. McLane extends discounts to customers on PHA-approved products, including better-for-you product bundles every quarter, and creates and distributes planograms featuring these products. McLane’s private label products subsidiary, CVP, continues to develop healthier new products that meet PHA’s criteria and offers FNV marketing materials to retailer partners.
McLane encourages its teammates to make healthy lifestyle choices and is expanding beyond the scope of its commitment by offering healthy tips and recipes in its internal teammate magazine. Teammates can also take advantage of discounts on gym and health club memberships, weight loss programs, fitness equipment, wellness kits and activity trackers.
