    In 2019, Core-Mark offered promotional discounts on at least 60 products that meet PHA Healthier Food and Beverage Criteria. Core-Mark highlighted discounted products in its monthly printed circular, Promo Power, the Promo Power portal on its website and through the Core-Mark online App.

    Core-Mark continues to offer health-promoting giveaways that incentivize healthy eating and physical activity such as activity trackers whenever employee giveaways are granted. Additionally, Core-Mark has added an on-site nurse in its corporate office to support employee medical needs, conduct meetings on healthy eating, health conscious work environments and flu prevention and provide biometric screenings. The nurse also travels to Core-Mark's divisions to provide health-related information and education.

    Negotiate discounted monthly gym memberships for employees with multiple providers across the country.

    Core-Mark continues to promote healthier lifestyles to its employees by supporting gym memberships. Each Division provides discounts and incentives towards gym memberships to their local employee base. Employees can receive a percentage, and up to full reimbursement, of the monthly individual membership fee based on monthly usage of the fitness facility.

Partner Statement

Core-Mark is one of the largest distributors and marketers of fresh, food service and consumer-packaged goods in North America. Core-Mark continues to motivate change in shopper perception about the availability of healthier options at smaller format retailers through innovation, technology and marketing awareness campaigns. Core-Mark continues to encourage their employees to be active in their health through Motion which is a fitness tracker program in which employees can earn up to $1,000 by maintaining 10,000 steps per day for a year. To encourage participation, Core-Mark offers an enrollment credit of $55 to be applied toward select fitness trackers. Core-Mark also negotiates discounted gym memberships for its corporate employees and division offices negotiate gym membership discounts with facilities within their area. The UnitedHealth Allies program offers discounts on a range of health and wellness services and provides employees with discounted memberships through at least six national fitness clubs. Other discounted fitness center memberships are also offered in division offices, communities through local recreation centers, Goodlife Fitness, California Family Fitness and Larry North Fitness. This information is mentioned in all new hire packets and employee handbooks.
