Partner Statement

With nearly 2.9 million vending machines in service where consumers live, work, and play across the United States, NAMA and participating convenience services operators recognize the food equity opportunity and societal benefit of the public health commitment. In 2023, the average share of vending machine offerings that met the NAMA standard remained roughly flat as operators worked to increase the number of nutrient dense options available to consumers. To increase adoption and facilitate compliant product inclusion in the vending machine product mix, NAMA developed a product calculator that consolidates the five public health standards and empowers convenience services operators to quickly and easily identify compliant food and beverage products for sale.
