NCA is bringing together the leading chocolate and candy companies, including Mars Wrigley, Ferrara Candy Company, Ferrero, Lindt, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and Russell Stover Chocolates, to commit to voluntarily printing calorie information on the front of products and to making at least half of their single-serving products 200 calories or less.
America’s chocolate and candy companies are committed to helping consumers manage their sugar intake. We set an ambitious goal to provide more transparency, create more portion guidance options in innovative packaging, and educate consumers about how unique products like chocolate and candy can be part of a balanced lifestyle. We’re proud to have met and exceeded this goal while driving meaningful change in the marketplace. In fact, 85% of chocolate and candy sold today comes in portion guidance packaging – whether that’s individually wrapped products or multipacks that contain smaller packages inside.
