NCA is bringing together the leading chocolate and candy companies, including Mars Chocolate North America, Ferrara Candy Company, Ferrero, Lindt, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and Russell Stover Chocolates, to commit to voluntarily printing calorie information on the front of products and to making at least half of their single-serving products 200 calories or less.

    Transparency: Voluntarily print calorie information on the front of products comprising at least 90% of their volume sales. (Note: Gift packs, very small sizes, gum and mints are excluded).

    Progress To Date

    At the mid-term review, 70.1% of SKUs have been identified with calories labeled on front-of-pack (FOP), an increase of 16.4 points.

    Portion Guidance: Make at least half of their single serving packaged products ('Instant Consumables') 200 calories or less per pack. (Note: Gift packs, gum and mints are excluded).

    Progress To Date

    The percent of Instant Consumable SKUs at 200 calories or less rose to 44.3%, an increase of 6 percentage points compared to the 2016 Benchmark.
