Partner Statement

Marymount University is excited to complete our first full year with Partnership for Healthier America’s Healthier Campus Initiative. Throughout the last year, we continued to collaborate across different departments in an effort to work towards completing guidelines. We are especially most proud of our first Healthy Campus Day. On Healthy Campus Day, we launched a different health and wellness program every hour. Healthy Campus Day included activities on our Main Campus and Ballston Center for the Marymount community. Some events of the day included: Yoga on the Lawn, Healthy Relationships and Hummus, a film screening on mental health, and most notably our ribbon cutting ceremony to kick-off the walking route! Over 300 people were in attendance at the day of events. We could not be more proud and we are excited for a bigger and better 2020!
