    Offer a bicycle share/rental program and/or a subsidized bicycle purchase program for all individuals on campus.

    Progress To Date

    Madison College provides access to Madison's bikeshare service, Madison BCycle, with 14 bicycles available on the Truax Campus. From the Truax Campus station, students are connected with 39 other stations throughout Madison.

    Offer at least one (1) free, organized and facilitated, outdoor physical activity/movement opportunity each week.

    Progress To Date

    Madison College organizes a weekly outdoor walking group on campus. Participants walk together for 30 minutes each week and no registration is required.

    Offer a rental outdoor recreation equipment program for students.

    Progress To Date

    Madison College Recreation provides students with the opportunity to check out basketballs, footballs, soccer balls and volleyballs at no cost. Students may also rent safety equipment to participate in the outdoor Challenge Course rope and climbing elements.

    Offer a rewards-on-benefits structured program that gives insurance premium discounts and/or rebates to individuals on campus who participate in a wellness program designated by the health insurer or campus.

    Progress To Date

    Madison College provides employees with access to three different wellness incentive programs through four different insurers. The Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin Wellness Reimbursement program offers up to a $100 individual or $200 family reimbursement for healthy behaviors such as purchasing athletic shoes, participating in fitness walks and races, taking a fitness class or joining a sport league, participating in a community supported agriculture (CSA) program, using a doula during pregnancy, engaging in regular physical activity or participating in a weight management program. The Living Healthy Program offers up to $150 for adults and $100 for children for completing healthy activities such as a health assessment, preventative medical and dental visits and immunizations, and volunteering in the community. Employees enrolled in WPS and Arise are reimbursed up to $200 for joining a CSA and up to $100 per member for participating in health and wellness activities including healthy behavior classes, fitness facility membership fees, CPR classes, fitness assessments, stress management, smoking cessation and retirement planning.
