Mercy Housing, one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations, will help families prioritize health by doing just that. The organization teamed up with us for a commitment in May 2017, offering to include features such as stairways that are well-lit and accessible, health-oriented programming and indoor/outdoor spaces that encourage physical activity among individuals of all ages in the communities in develops.

With the addition of Mercy Housing to PHA’s ADV work, nearly 8,000 units of housing nationwide will be impacted throughout the United States. In fact, Mercy Housing has committed to ensuring at least 80 percent of its affordable housing properties will incorporate Active Design Verified guidelines over the course of the three-year commitment.
