PHA has been partnering with the Kansas Food Bank since 2021. Over the years, we’ve helped the food bank enhance the nutritional quality of its inventory by helping them implement a comprehensive nutrition ranking system and providing funding to increase the supply of fruits and vegetables. We’re currently working with the food bank to assess and improve how they source and procure food so they can provide healthier items to their clients all year long. 

The Kansas Food Bank has been operating for 41 years and serves 85 continues throughout the state via a network of 180 local food pantries. Their mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate HungerCare whenever and wherever it is needed to safeguard the health, well-being and productivity of food-insecure Kansas families and their children, as well as seniors, the homeless, the chronically ill and impoverished.
