Make a difference for families in need

A phone with a PopSockets plant based pop-grip We’ve joined PopSockets to celebrate the power of plants and make a meaningful difference for families in need. $2 from your PlantCore grip purchase turns into 5 servings of fresh, high quality vegetables and fruits delivered to neighborhoods just like yours in communities across the U.S.

What’s more, PopSockets and PHA are committed to sharing ongoing actions you can take that will change communities and the planet for the better.

Every meal matters for families and the planet

A YMCA volunteer holding a Good Food for All produce box Fruits, beans, vegetables, and nuts have low carbon footprints. They are also health bombs – high in fiber and nutrients, but low in saturated fat with zero added sugar. As the EAT Lancet report noted, more than doubling consumption of vegetables, legumes, fruits, and nuts is key to both human and planetary health.

That’s just one of the many reasons we are proud to partner with PopSockets to improve access to healthy, sustainable food in communities and protect our planet. Together, PHA and PopSockets are building a unique alliance as leaders recognizing the urgent need to transform our food system, achieve true health equity and urgently address the climate crisis through creative and disruptive solutions.

The Details

PopSockets will donate $2 from every purchase of its PlantCore grip line to PHA, which will directly provide 5 servings of fresh, high quality vegetables and fruits to families in need in communities across the U.S. The PlantCore grip line incorporates bio-based materials from canola oil, castor beans, and corn starch, resulting in an estimated 30% lower carbon footprint than the standard PopGrip. PopSockets has also partnered with leading plant-based food companies to provide customers a suite of incentives to try nutritious, plant-based food products.

About PopSockets

PopSockets was founded in 2010 by former philosophy professor David Barnett, who was looking for a way to prevent his earbud cord from getting tangled when he glued two buttons to the back of his phone and wrapped his cord around them. In 2014, PopSockets launched from Barnett’s garage in Boulder, CO, and today it has offices globally. PopSockets exists to change the world for the better with empowering, expressive, fun products and community activism. Products include the PopGrip, PopTop, PopCase, PopWallet+, PopMounts and PopGrip Slide Stretch. Over 230 million PopSockets grips have been sold around the world. In 2018, PopSockets launched Poptivism, a charitable giving platform where customers create their own PopGrip designs, and PopSockets donates 50% of the sales to the customers’ charity of choice. The brand has donated over $4 million in cash and product to 400 nonprofit partners. In 2021, PopSockets was honored as one of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies.
