Dole Packaged Foods’ Commitment

Dole Packaged Foods will work with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to increase access for up to 12 million people to fresh vegetables and fruits and other healthy food through innovative, portable refrigeration units that allow for sale of produce and other healthful foods.

Dole Packaged Foods will pilot refrigerated kiosks in up to four Boys and Girls Clubs in Jackson, Mississippi during the first year then begin to scale in years 2 and 3, with the eventual goal of reaching 3 million children and 12 million people each day through 5,000 existing BGCA locations.

Dole Packaged Foods’ commitment will support PHA’s goal of adding 100 million additional servings of vegetables, fruits, and beans to the marketplace by 2025, which was announced alongside the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health on September 28, 2022.
