Exciting Changes to PHA’s Board of Directors

David Blair, PHA Board Chair After 14 years of service on Partnership for a Healthier America’s (PHA) Board of Directors, Peter Dolan has retired and David Blair has stepped in as the organization’s new Board Chair. Peter Dolan has been on PHA’s Board since the organization’s inception in 2010 and took on the role as Board Chair in April 2020.

“I’m honored to step into the role of Board Chair for PHA. Over the past 14 years, Peter has provided extraordinary leadership and unwavering dedication to PHA,” said David Blair, new PHA Board Chair. “As he transitions from this role, I look forward to building on his impactful legacy and continuing efforts to ensure that everyone, no matter their zip code, has access to the health-building food they need to thrive.”

David is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LucyRx™, a next-generation pharmacy benefits manager recognized for its commitment to personalized service and high quality patient care. LucyRx delivers innovative solutions that address the rising costs of specialty drugs, improving outcomes for both health plans and the patients they serve. Previously, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Catalyst Health Solutions, Inc., a Fortune 500 company that was acquired in 2012 for $4.8 billion.

David has been recognized with numerous awards including Forbes America’s 15 Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under, and CEO Q Magazine and the International Institute of Management list of Most Respected CEOs.

In addition to naming a new Board Chair, PHA is excited to welcome four additional new Board members, as of August 1, 2024:

  • Ryan Shadrick Wilson has often been referred to as “the good food whisperer” for the quiet yet significant role she has played for nearly 25 years in launching many of the innovative ideas, organizations, and companies shaping the future of food globally. Today, Ryan wears several hats. She is the founder and CEO of Boardwalk Collective, a venture catalyst and advisory firm. She is the Executive Chairperson of Mealogic, a healthy meal delivery food tech company. She is Co-Chair of the Food, Nutrition, and Health Investors Coalition, which represents nearly $3 billion in assets under management. And, she serves as Executive Chairperson of the Future of Food Entrepreneurship program, co-founded by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson.
  • Lisa Coleman, MS, RD, LDN, serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Food and Health at iQpay. In this role, she champions iQpay’s Guided Spend Technology to drive transformative food and social needs initiatives. Lisa partners with a diverse range of stakeholders—including food retailers, CPG companies, food banks, healthcare organizations, and community-based organizations—to develop and scale innovative programs that address food equity and improve health outcomes.
  • Randy Edeker is the former chairman of the board, CEO and president of Hy-Vee, Inc., where he served for 43 years. He has also served as a past executive committee member and a member of the board of directors for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), past chair of FMI – the Food Industry Association, and chairman of the board of directors for Topco Associates. In 2024, Randy was recognized for his careerlong influence and advocacy in the retail and healthcare industries with Chain Drug Review’s Lifetime Achievement Award and NACDS’s Sheldon W. Fantle Lifetime Achievement Award — the pharmacy industry’s highest honor.
  • John MacDonald is the Chief Marketing Officer at The GIANT Co, the Carlisle, PA based grocery chain which is part of the AholdDelhaize family of brands in the US. In MacDonald’s 30-year professional career, he has held several leadership positions in the healthcare and the retail industry supporting businesses and customers. In addition to his professional responsibilities, MacDonald has spent time in the past several years leading local non-profit boards including former roles as the President of the Board of Directors at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, and Vice President Board of Directors at the Perry County Literacy Council. MacDonald has also taught Undergraduate and M.B.A. courses at Elizabethtown College, master’s level courses for Lebanon Valley College, and currently teaches undergraduate marketing classes for the school of business at Penn State Harrisburg.
