Partnership for a Healthier America Launches "Good Good Food" Campaign with a Free Community Block Party at the Austin Town Hall Farmers Market

Event to Feature Live Music, Cooking Demos, and Fun Activities to Empower Healthier Choices in the Chicago Community

CHICAGO, IL – September 18, 2025Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), a national nonprofit focused on increasing access to nutritious food, launches its new public awareness campaign, Good Good Food, with a free community block party in conjunction with the Austin Town Hall Farmers Market on September 18th, at the Austin Town Hall in Chicago.

The block party marks the kickoff of PHA’s city-wide effort to double produce consumption in Chicago as part of its “Good Food Cities” initiative. The celebration is a fun, family-friendly event focused on making healthy eating accessible and exciting for everyone. “Our mission at PHA is to ensure that everyone has access to the good food they need to thrive, and we’ve set a bold vision to double produce consumption in 15 U.S. cities, including Chicago,” said Noreen Springstead, President and CEO of Partnership for a Healthier America. “The Good Good Food campaign is about celebrating how a simple, better choice can help you feel better than good—it can make you feel ‘good good.’ We are thrilled to be partnering with the Austin Town Hall Farmers Market and local organizations to make a tangible, lasting difference in this community alongside Novo Nordisk, Amazon Access, and Keurig Dr Pepper.”

The event features live cooking demonstrations and free food samples from Chef Sebastian White, a food budgeting hub powered by Amazon Access, and a hydration station with Keurig Dr Pepper. Attendees can also enjoy live music and a DJ’ing class with DJ LipGloss and all that the Farmers Market has to offer.

“We are proud to join with Partnership for a Healthier America on this critical initiative,” said Jillian Griffith, Senior Health Partnerships Manager at Amazon Access. “At Amazon Access, we are focused on making quality food more convenient and affordable for customers.. This event is a great way to kick off a campaign that will have a lasting, positive impact on the Austin community and beyond.” The block party will also highlight the newly opened Forty Acres Fresh Market, which provides fresh and affordable local food to the Austin community.

“The Austin Town Hall Farmers Market is a cornerstone of this community, and we are thrilled to host the Good Good Block Party,” said Veah Larde, Market Manager of the Austin Town Hall Farmers Market. “Working with PHA and its amazing partners reinforces our commitment to bringing fresh, affordable food to our neighbors. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate healthy living right here in Austin.”

PHA’s work in Chicago includes providing funds to local organizations to increase local access to produce and other healthy foods, and operating its signature “Good Food at Home” program, which has provided over 1.9 million servings of fruits and vegetables to more than 5,000 Chicago families.
