The fight to end childhood obesity is being addressed by everyone from industry leaders to community organizations to individuals – which is the only way we are going to end this crisis.
To highlight some of this work, this year the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) is honoring those leaders that are working to make healthier options available to everyone, everywhere, with its third annual Catalyst for Change Awards. Finalists will be announced in early March. Winners will be announced during the 2019 Partnership for a Healthier America Summit, April 1 & 2 in Chicago.
In 2018, PHA was honored to present Mercedes-Benz USA and Laureus USA with the Partner of the Year Award, Brighter Bites and The Walking Classroom Institute with the Impact Award, and Seth Goldman, Co-Founder & TeaEO Emeritus of Honest Tea® and Executive Chair of Beyond Meat, with the Visionary CEO Award.
PHA Partner of the Year Award
The PHA Partner of the Year Award is presented to a partner who is working to ensure the health of our nation’s youth, making healthier choices more affordable and accessible to families and children across the country. The partner must demonstrate how it is executing key strategies beyond the PHA commitment, including focusing on those populations disproportionately impacted by obesity; doing well while doing good; using an innovative approach to address childhood obesity; or creating a ripple effect within their industry. You must be a PHA partner to apply.
To submit a nomination for the Partner of the Year, please click here and submit your application by Friday, February 22.
PHA Visionary CEO Award
The PHA Visionary CEO Award will be presented to a CEO who is dedicated to making the healthy the easy choice for busy parents and families around the country. The nominee will have demonstrated leadership and vision in the health and wellness space with their work and made strides towards making sure all children are at a healthy weight. This award is for courage, perseverance, dedication, ethics, and the ability to bring about real change for the better of the company, the industry as a whole, and for the lives of the people the CEO touches. This award does not celebrate a company’s success, but rather the exceptional contribution made by the CEO and their leadership.
Applications are not accepted for the PHA Visionary CEO Award.
