Amy Warne MBA, RD/LD

Headshot of woman smiling Amy Warne, MBA, RD/LD, is the Manager of Nutrition and Health Programs for Partnership for a Healthier America. In her role at PHA, she leads the Veggies Early and Often work and also works with food banks as part of our Healthy Hunger Relief program. She is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a diverse nutrition background in acute care, dialysis, non-profit, food sovereignty, and consulting.

Amy is Mvskoke (Muscogee) enrolled, Semvnole (Seminole), and Daughter of Kaccvlke (Tiger Clan). She resides on Kickapoo, Osage, Kiowa, Comanche, and Wichita lands, known today as Oklahoma City. She is passionate about the issue of Indigenous Food Sovereignty and lifting it up through public speaking opportunities. She has appeared on various KOKH segments of Tasty Tuesday, and has publications in The Digest, a Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, The Curbside Chronicle, and Oklahoma Women’s Journal. Amy was one of three consultants for 2023’s Hungry for Action Conference, the only statewide conference focused on hunger put on by Hunger Free Oklahoma.

Amy serves on various committees, including The Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics IDEA Committee (2022 - present), the OKAND Conference Committee as the Guest Relations Chair (March 2021), and presented at their annual conference on Indigenous Food Sovereignty in April of this year. Additionally, she served on the National Kidney Foundation Oklahoma Kidney Conference, where she was a distinguished faculty presenter (September 2020).

Civic engagement is important to Amy. She is the current Oklahoma County Democratic Party Chair and served as the interim secretary for the League of Women Voters, Oklahoma County. She was the Lead Indigenous and Wellness Organizer for The March for Our Rights in August of 2021. She helped organize the community engagement fair for the event and was a speaker on Indigenous Issues. Amy is a part of Matriarch, an education and advocacy group that seeks to empower Native women, femmes, 2 Spirit and non-binary people through community building. Amy volunteers her time to address food insecurity, increase voter turnout, and raise awareness for social justice. Amy works to build a better community for future generations.
