Back to school season is in full swing! In the midst of your planning, packing, and shopping don’t let your healthy habits fall by the wayside. Remember, healthy kids do better in school and the experts from BOKS Kids are here to make sure that you’ve got it under control.

Morning Motivations

Studies show that kids who get active in the mornings are better suited for a day of learning in the classroom! BOKS is a FREE before school physical activity program powered by people just like you! Aimed to do just that – get kids moving in the morning and their brains ready for school. Try to find a BOKS class in your neighborhood or consider bringing it to your kids’ school! If neither of those options work for you, don’t fret. You can still infuse BOKS into your mornings. Try doing some jumping jacks with your little one right when they wake up, or set your alarm clock just a bit earlier and go for jog around the block with the entire family.

Healthy Start

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s important that you put your best foot forward by giving your family a healthy start.

Try incorporating more fiber rich whole grains and complex carbohydrates into your breakfast. Also sneak veggies on your kids’ breakfast plates by mixing in tasty greens like spinach and kale into eggs for an amazing nutrient dense start to everyone’s day!
