Priya Fielding-Singh
Priya Fielding-Singh is a sociologist and ethnographer. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Family and Consumer Studies at the University of Utah. Her research and writing examine issues of social, economic, and racial justice, with a focus on families, food and health.
Her first book, How the Other Half Eats, draws on years of field research she conducted on families’ diets in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Harvard Business Review, and more.
She received her PhD in Sociology from Stanford University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship as a National Institutes of Health scholar at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
