PHA Statement on Worldwide Day of Play
Washington, D.C. (September 23, 2011) —In advance of Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play on Sept. 24, 2011, Lawrence A. Soler, CEO of the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), released the following statement:
“By the time most kids reach high school, only one in five gets the recommended 60 minutes a day of physical activity. In organizing Worldwide Day of Play, Nickelodeon is rightly encouraging more balance in children’s lives. PHA encourages kids to get out and play on Sept. 24 and every day of the year.”
