PHA's Board of Directors Launch Nationwide Search for its Next President & CEO
June 6, 2022
WASHINGTON, DC – Partnership for a Healthier America’s (PHA) Board of Directors has launched a nationwide search for its next President & CEO.
CEO Nancy E. Roman is stepping down after five years, during which she oversaw a period of growth and impact, including the development of new programs like Good Food for All and Healthy Hunger Relief. In addition, she has cultivated 14 new foundation funders, 36 corporate partners and hundreds of community partners – all working to leverage the food supply for better health.
“It has been a joy and a privilege leading the talented team at PHA, supported by a terrific Board of Directors. Together, we have made significant progress toward building a better food system and achieving health equity,” Roman said. “PHA’s future is bright and I will be excited to watch the organization reach new heights.”
Board Chair Peter Dolan said the organization is well positioned to attract a dynamic, and strong leader.
“We thank Nancy for her role in leveraging the organization’s potential at a critical time, raising its visibility and putting it in a strong position for the future,” Dolan said. “There is much more to be done and the board is committed to finding a leader who can continue to make progress in improving our food system and build on the solid foundation already in place.”
The Partnership for a Healthier America Board of Directors has engaged Koya Partners, the executive search firm with an exclusive focus on recruiting CEOs and senior leaders to mission-driven roles, for the search.
