Faith Mitchell

Faith Michell is a speaker at Partnership for a Healthier America's 2017 Building a Healthier Future Summit. Faith Mitchell, PhD, is President and CEO of Grantmakers In Health (GIH), a Washington, D.C.-based philanthropic affinity group that supports and informs the work of health foundations and corporate giving programs across the country. Throughout her career, Dr. Mitchell has bridged research, practice and policy to improve population health. She served 12 years at the National Academies, both at the Institute of Medicine, where she was responsible for the health disparities portfolio, and as a center director in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Education of the National Research Council. Dr. Mitchell holds a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
