Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian

Dr. Mozaffarian is a board-certified cardiologist and epidemiologist whose research focuses on the effects of diet and lifestyle on cardiometabolic health, including global impacts of suboptimal diet and effectiveness of policies to improve diets around the world. He has authored more than 200 scientific publications on lifestyle and cardiovascular health and has served in numerous advisory roles with the American Heart Association, World Health Organization, and United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. He chairs the Global Burden of Diseases Nutrition and Chronic Diseases Expert Group (NutriCoDE).
