Director, MS Delta Programs
PHA Vision:
A healthier America powered by good food for all.
Organizational Background:
At Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), we are advancing equitable access to nutritious food for all in America to lead healthy lives. As a national nonprofit founded alongside Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign in 2010, PHA works with community organizations, corporations, foundations and governments to build healthier communities through nutritious food.
Since our founding, PHA has made water the most purchased beverage in America, removed 7 trillion calories and literally tons of salt, fat and sugar from the food system. We have partnered with more than 500 partners across the public, private, nonprofit and charitable food sectors and are a credible convener and collaborator.
Most recently, we’ve connected families across the country with over 45 million servings of produce as part of our commitment to bring 100 million servings to underserved communities. And we have an ambitious vision to build Good Food Cities by advancing strategies to double consumption of fruits and vegetables in 15 U.S. cities by 2030, starting with Indianapolis, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; and Denver, Colorado.
