An Update from the Partnership for a Healthier America: PHA Summit is Going Virtual

March 12, 2020

To the Partnership for a Healthier America Community,

After carefully monitoring developments surrounding coronavirus in the United States, we have reluctantly concluded that our in-person 10-year anniversary Summit, PHA10: Accelerating a Healthier Future, must transition to a virtual format.

Accordingly, we hope you will join us for the new PHA10: Accelerating a Healthier Future Virtual Convening on April 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. ET. This virtual event is free of charge.

While we are saddened not to see our friends and partners in person this year, we decided to err on the side of caution given Illinois’ declaration of a State of Emergency, the CDC’s travel guidelines for vulnerable populations, and the uncertainties in the current landscape.

We’ve included some questions and answers below for those who have already paid for registration. If you have any additional questions, we’ll do our best to respond to each and every inquiry at PHA10@ahealthieramerica.org

We hope to see you (online) on April 28th: Register today for free!

FAQ:

I registered for PHA10. Will I receive a refund?

Any registration fees paid for PHA10 are eligible for a full refund. You also have the option to convert your registration fee into a tax-deductible donation to PHA. Please click here to select your choice. Any registration fees not reclaimed will be donated to PHA and put toward transforming the food landscape in pursuit of health equity.

Will there be an in-person summit later in the year?

At this time, there will not be an in-person summit later this year. However, we are planning more frequent, smaller convenings and, of course, we hope you’ll join us for the virtual event on April 28.

I am scheduled to take part in another meeting or other side event associated with PHA10. What should I do?

We plan to hold the post-Summit meetings virtually as well and will reach out individually with further details to anyone who has additional meetings impacted by PHA10’s shift to an online format. Stay tuned!

Any other questions?

Please email PHA10@ahealthieramerica.org

Thank you for your understanding and support during these difficult times. Please stay safe and healthy – and we look forward to seeing you online!

Sincerely,

Nancy E. Roman.
