  1. If you were stranded on a deserted island, and only one vegetable grew on that island, what vegetable would you want it to be? An heirloom tomato, right off the vine.

  2. What is your healthiest habit? I always make sleep a priority. It is so important to your physical health and well-being. A good night’s sleep can improve learning, problem-solving skills and information retention.

  3. What is your go-to nutritious breakfast? I love starting the day with a banana and Greek yogurt mixed with fresh fruit – it is quick, easy and I can grab it and go!

  4. What are the 3 items that are always in your fridge/pantry? I always have a variety of nuts – they are an easy snack, packed with nutrition and give me a quick salty fix. I also keep a steady supply of yogurt and lots of lettuce and other greens for sandwiches and salads.

  5. What is your favorite workout? I do lots of activities but running on the treadmill is my go-to workout.

  6. Who is your fitness hero? My daughter, Catherine. She is a Crossfit personal trainer and coach. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about fitness, but what I really admire is her motivation to help others reach their performance goals.

  7. How do you take your water – sparkling, flat, over ice? Always flat with ice. There is nothing more refreshing then a cold glass of water!

  8. What is your guilty pleasure? Fritos – they are addictive.

  9. What is your healthy eating philosophy? I really don’t have restrictions or follow a specific diet – I enjoy everything but always in moderation.

  10. What is your go-to nutritious family dinner dish? Fried chicken is one of my biggest weaknesses. I have almost perfected a version of baked fried chicken – it is delicious and I get all the taste but not the guilt.

  11. What is the best health advice you’ve ever received? Always take time to eat breakfast! It sets the tone for the rest of the day, sparks your metabolism and keeps you alert!
