“Following a successful Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio where Team USA won 236 medals, the U.S. Olympic Committee continues to promote active and healthy lifestyles by increasing access to sport for young children. To date, 16 summer National Governing Bodies have hosted recreational programing, facilitated grants for equipment and introduced beginner Olympic and Paralympic sport to rural and urban centers with the goal of inspiring and engaging 2 million children in sport across America.”
