Thank you for your interest in joining the First Lady and our partners in an independent, nonpartisan movement to solve the childhood obesity challenge within a generation. With your help, the Partnership will develop a strong network of members across the business, government, academic, and nonprofit sectors who will commit to accelerating efforts to address childhood obesity and catalyzing action at all levels of society.

Members wishing to join the Partnership will be asked to make substantive commitments that not only support of the goals the set out in the First Lady’s initiative, but help set new norms for a member’s sector or industry. To this end, we ask that commitments be measurable to ensure progress can be tracked and, where appropriate, specific to your organization’s sector or industry.  

The Partnership is currently in the process of developing specific membership criteria and application processes to ensure its goals and drive for commitment are applicable to all industries and sectors at the community, state and national level. During this process, we ask interested members to take the following steps to learn more about our organization, the benefits of membership and how they can help shape the commitment process:
  1. Explore the Partnership’s Web site and read our fact sheet to learn more about our movement and the First Lady’s initiative.
  2. Read our Member Benefits section to learn more about the special resources and networking opportunities available to members, including attendance at our Annual Meeting and co-branding opportunities.
  3. Fill-out the Prospective Member application being sure to provide full contact information for your organization.
  4. Stay tuned for membership updates from the Partnership and check back often at www.ahealthieramerica.org for news on the First Lady’s initiative and announcements from the foundation.
